Curriculum

The Office of Curriculum and Institutional Assessment provides oversight of the curriculum and curricular academic policy approvals. Specific responsibilities include:
- Oversees the review and institutional approval of undergraduate and graduate curricular changes in collaboration with the academic colleges and the Graduate College.
- Provides training and consulting services related to internal curriculum review and approval processes.
- Organizes and leads Undergraduate and Graduate Committees meetings, materials, and archives.
- Manages the review and approval process for academic policies.
- Oversees updates to the undergraduate and graduate course inventory in all sources.
- Manages and coordinates the university’s publication of undergraduate, graduate, student policies, and other catalogs through the university’s online catalog system, ensuring accuracy and consistency of information across publications.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding student academic petitions impacting the awarding of degrees ensuring compliance with institutional, THECB, UTS and SACSCOC policies.
- Coordinates with internal offices to ensure graduate and undergraduate programs and courses are implemented accurately in appropriate university systems such as Banner, ASSIST, and DegreeWorks.
- Leads the review/approval process for new Articulation Agreements and community college partnerships.
