Artist Statement
As a multidisciplinary artist, my work is centered on creating spaces where creativity, sustainability, and cultural heritage intersect. My current project is the development of an artist residency in Mérida, Yucatán, a space envisioned to foster artistic collaboration, provide sustainable workspaces, and serve as a platform for artists to explore and create.
My artistic practice is deeply influenced by the landscapes, history, and traditions of Yucatán. I use elements of storytelling, natural materials, and contemporary design to bridge the past and the present. Through photography, printmaking, and digital media, I explore themes of identity, transformation, and connection to place. The residency project reflects my commitment to creating an environment that not only nurtures artistic growth but also contributes to the preservation of local artistic traditions.
This initiative is a way to build a creative ecosystem where artists can engage in meaningful exchanges, develop their work in a supportive community, and contribute to a broader dialogue about the role of art in sustainability and cultural continuity.
