Artist Statement

personal logoSince I was old enough to pick up a crayon, I spent my childhood always drawing or creating something with my hands. I was able to express myself freely in art. Regardless of what I was doing, I was always happy surrounding myself with what I enjoyed. My parents were always very supportive of my interests and dreams growing up. In my early memories, I remember always making art for my family, and seeing their smiles would give me happiness that something that I put my passion into could bring a positive impact to others. As a shy child growing up I would say that I was always finding myself emerged in art and remembering how proud I was of myself for each design I had created. As I reached high school I had to make a tough decision, I had to decide what to put my focus on, art or golf. I enjoyed both growing up but I couldn’t do both. I ended up spending most of my time playing golf for a good while. Eventually in college I had to decide what I wanted to do, so I went into graphic design. I started to remember the things that had impacted me growing up and made my decision that younger me would have. As I grew older, I realized that I wanted to continue creating and use my abilities to the best I can.

Regardless of what I am creating or doing, I want to be able to leave a positive impact and connection with others. I want the art that I create to be able to speak for itself and leave a memorable impression. When I create something, I always try to think of how my work can make a difference to others. What I love about art is that anyone can understand or interpret it in their own way. I want my art to inspire others and communicate through visual representation. I’m still growing and learning, but I hope that along the way I can influence or be a guide for anyone who may need it.
