Numoo, for the New you.

I chose to do my project on a milk brand, as a homage to one of my first few art pieces I made in high school that I was truly proud of, it was a set of juice and milk cartons painted with watercolor, I still look back on those fondly, and since then I’ve always found cartons to be kind of cute. When deciding what to do for my exhibit I had many ideas but when I thought of milk cartons it felt right in my heart and mind. Maybe it’s a strange choice, but it seemed like a fun and cute idea, and I would get to design some packaging. The goal with Numoo was to create a milk brand that I hoped would stick out from the traditional milk brands you see in stores that are all fundamentally the same in their design and themes. I wanted a brand that was simple, cute, clean, and easy to look at, a milk brand you could feel comfortable trusting and knowing is sourced from cows that are treated right. The final chosen name, Numoo, came from “nu” which can be slang for new and moo the sound cows make, moo also sounded like moon, so in a way the name can also sound like new moon, this led to the pale yellow and blue color palette that was chosen.
