Moon Jelly Studio is a tattoo shop that is straying off from the traditional darker look tattoo shops tend to have and going for a more cute and girly kind of feel. It is going to be a female run studio, with a talented and friendly staff who will offer a variety of different style of tattoos but will particularly specialize in colored tattoos and unique designs. Moon Jelly Studio is meant to be a safe space for any customer who walks in, which they can expect a bright, open-minded, and relaxing environment. Moon Jelly Studio will place importance on the look of the studio. Because the look will create the feel and atmosphere for the customers. Therefore, the studio will have pastel walls and decorations, and be surrounded by unique and interesting pieces that can fit the cutesy style. It will have quite a few pieces that are nostalgic of the 90s, such as toys that will remind you of your childhood that will bring you comfort and warmth upon seeing them once again. It will also have furniture like a plasma ball and a lava lamp, plastic bead curtains, colorful inflatable furniture, and it will even have some arcade cabinets for customers to play in case they get bored while accompanying someone for a tattoo or perhaps if they are waiting for their own. There will also be a TV playing some retro anime and cartoons, to distract the customers getting tattooed so they can feel a little more at ease if they are nervous.
Most importantly, Moon Jelly Studio will pride itself in their unique style of tattoos. Here in the Rio Grande Valley, traditional or realistic kind of style of tattoos are much more common. Moon Jelly Studio will provide a new school style, illustrative style, and cute style. One of the biggest inspirations for the style of tattoos that Moon Jelly is going for, are the super adorable, simplistic yet strong designs that are Korean styled tattoos. It is a very particular kind of style that is often seen with Korean tattoo artists with its colorful, thin linear style. This would be one of the biggest selling points for Moon Jelly studios because providing this style of tattoo here in the Rio Grande Valley would mean that people that live in the valley who are into these sorts of style of tattoos don’t have to travel long distances and spend even more money to get them.
