Artist Statement
Becoming an artist was an unexpected detour from the meticulously crafted life plan that once defined my aspirations. What began as a seemingly last-minute decision evolved into a profound revelation—an inevitability awaiting its moment to unfold. Throughout my childhood, art lingered on the periphery of my consciousness, a subtle fascination that manifested as a silent admiration for the creativity coursing through canvases and sculptures. Little did I know that this dormant connection between my soul and the world of art would eventually become a guiding force. The turning point materialized during high school, a period marked by serendipity as I stumbled upon my first art class. It was a revelation, akin to a dormant aspect of my identity suddenly awakening. The canvas transformed into my sanctuary, providing a space where I could navigate the intricate motions of life, translating emotions onto its blank surface with each stroke of the brush or pencil. The process became a dialogue with my innermost thoughts and feelings—a therapeutic journey of self-discovery through artistic expression.
