The name Mar&Nes is because my grandmother would crochet clothes for me when I was younger. So, I dedicated this project to her and named it after her name, Maria Ines. I have always wanted to crochet. Every time I would watch her make something; I would always look forward to seeing the final result. And it would be clean and perfect every time. So, I took inspiration from current crochet trends and vamped it with personalized designs which makes every piece unique.
The purpose of this project is to advertise products that I have made by hand, which took a lot of workshopping. I think, as I am writing this statement, it has the potential to reach a large audience that loves wearing clothes and experimenting with their wardrobe. As I share these creations, I hope to inspire others to appreciate the craft and attention to detail that goes into each handmade piece.
