Exhibit Work

I was first introduced to cosplay when I was a senior in high school. The word cosplay comes from the two words, costume, and play, which was possibly introduced by Nobuyuki Takahashi from Studio Hard after he attended the World Science Fiction Convention in 1984. From there my friends and I, went to the local conventions every year. Being someone else helped me gain the confidence that I never knew I had. As time goes on, you learn things and improve your skills. The first cosplay I ever made with my friends was horrible; we eyeballed everything and there were no patterns in sight. Even though we were starting, we were extremely proud of what we had made, and no one would make us feel otherwise.
Stitch Bee Studio aims to bring that confidence and magic to people’s lives. Whether it be having the seamstresses make your dream costume, attending classes to empower you with the knowledge to create your own things, or providing workshop space for individuals to work in, our primary goal is to empower and teach. The name Stitch Bee Studio comes from the phrase busy bee. Although, instead of making honey or pollinating flowers, we are thoughtfully stitching up your next costume. In addition to the general seamstress services, we also have partnered with sewing machines and craft supply brands to provide easy access to their supplies. As mentioned above, we also offer different classes every month for our customers. Another service that we offer is a rentable workshop space, there are 4 different rental packages for the workshop. Each package is customizable to your needs. We understand that a safe workspace is not always available to us. The workshop aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals to craft. For now, this may just be my hobby, but I love how I can combine both my passions into one project.
