Exhibit Work

As a graphic designer I wanted to have a take on creating an event that is filled with lots of great performers and many horse riders. I decided to design my love for the Rodeo. Also, I wanted this event to take place in a city where there is so much pride in being a Texan and expressive, Austin was the city to create this event. This place has always been home away from home and the city carries UT Austin pride everywhere with college students shooting the hook’em horns everywhere you turn. Everyone in the city in love with the cowboy/Texas feel and it would be the perfect event for the city. When you hear Rodeo Houston the reaction is a must to attend this huge event and that is the same appeal, I wanted for ATX Rodeo. This event is also my interest in attending the rodeo with lot of friends and family to see bull riders, country performers, and grub on lots of great Texas favorites. I decided to create a poster teasing the ATX Rodeo coming which I created with Photoshop and elements from Adobe Illustrator. The inspiration for the color scheme was tribute to the Austin colors of burnt orange, white, and hints of brown. I wanted to create a poster with a taste of a vintage rodeo feel and have the ATX pride. The second poster I wanted to create a program that you would be presented with when entering the Rodeo grounds. The program is designed to showcase the events that will be going on throughout the day such as the livestock, rodeo showing, and country star singers. This program was started in Adobe Illustrator and finished in Photoshop where I transferred to the mockup. In the end I wanted all pieces to be cohesive and send the message that anyone could attend Austin Rodeo. Overall, I am very appreciative for how everything turned out and came all together.
