Artist Statement

personal logoI’ve been in love with art ever since I was little. I vividly remember drawing almost everywhere in our house. From the walls, our kitchen table, and even inside the drawers of a dresser just so my mother wouldn’t find out and be mad. Although it sounds like I was quite the troublemaker, I was only a boy filled with creativity looking to express it in whatever I could find in front of me. I’m very grateful for my parents because, despite all the mess I would make, they encouraged me to continue my art journey and discovery throughout the following years and supported me regardless of anything that happened to me.

And something did happen. My mother and I lost my father, and everything changed. I felt lost. I forgot about art and moved on. Everything I would do felt wrong and forced. Entering college, I never thought I would become an art major. I began another career path, and ultimately, I changed to art, and everything felt way better. It felt like something I had lost or was missing in my life was back and better than ever. Therefore, it’s important to me to always put my all into a work of art and demonstrate my passion because you never know when something you love and desire is lost from your hands.

As a graphic designer, I strive to adapt and learn to become aware of the various trends and niches in our world. Constructive criticism is essential to my creative process, allowing me to grow and become more efficient in my works of art.
