Exhibit Work
Zines are an outlet for creativity and letting thoughts out into the world. These self-published works are an important aspect of history. I love the way zines are versatile and can be about anything. Off the Rack! was inspired by the first biography zine I made, called Virtue, which was about me, my identity, and fashion. I enjoyed the process that went into making Virtue and wanted to create another zine that focused on other subjects.
Being an art major, I have friends who express themselves with clothing and makeup in ways that are authentically them. I knew I wanted to feature these people in my zine to show the public some RGV locals that have stepped outside of the box and are unapologetically themselves. Off the Rack! Is a fashion zine that features creatives, their styles, and art. My goal for Off the Rack! is to inspire others in every way, whether fashion or design.
