Artist Statement

personal logoI started drawing at a very young age; I drew what I enjoyed, which was mostly pixelated video games that I had on an emulated computer my father set up for me. As an artist I am self-taught, and am almost strictly a digital artist. I gradually developed techniques for shapes, colors, and composition. I honed my art skills drawing characters that I thought of and or saw in my favorite media. As my artistic development continued I not only expanded my creativity, but also broadened my horizons and began thinking more like a designer. I see methods and patterns for designing many things that we as a society overlook every day, and that encourages me to think more outside the box for something that will really capture and function in a creative, yet convenient way.

What I find important in my work is the integrity of passion and identity. The work I make reflects me as an artist, designer, and person. How I see, how I think, how I am, is all presented in my work. The impact that my work leaves on those who view it must also feel like a statement of my creative cognition. In the future, I hope to create amazing works that can not only impress viewers, but also inspire other artists to expand their own horizons. It’s a never-ending cycle of improvement and as long as art exists, there will always be people who can improve upon it

As I said, my method of art is digital. I find the digital medium to be the least restrained and limiting. With this medium I can always add or remove any little detail to my liking. In society, mostly everything is digital: businesses, documents, pictures, and even entertainment. Going into digital art makes the most sense moving forward.
