Exhibit Work

As a queer Hispanic artist, my objective is to represent marginalized identities through independent and collaborative creative projects. What I aspire to accomplish is to work alongside other creative professionals who share my vision for more inclusivity in media and assist in raising the bar for any industry representing marginalized communities. Currently, my personal efforts will be dedicated to independent work which will aid me in expanding my skillset as a visual communicator and can remain consistently inclusive to diverse demographics
Zines are published to provide a safe, independent platform of expression for underrepresented individuals and marginalized voices. My incentive with this zine project will be to provide insight into what it means to be a queer person of color. Individuals from different communities face unique challenges that may align with how their culture influences their outlook on life. Aside from recounting experiences about the obstacles faced, narratives about the victories and love found along their journeys will also be shared to encourage and uplift readers to embrace themselves and others. This will be a project that someone who may feel isolated in their experiences can connect with and will be my own contribution to making queer conversation and creativity relevant under a social climate where discrimination against our freedoms and expressions is still rampant.
