Artist Statement

personal logoI'm a Mexican American Graphic Designer and Illustrator who loves doing different kinds of art. I grasp the client’s thoughts and transform them into graphic masterpieces. I can represent style and personality in the layout and graphics I make. I make vibrant and fun designs that are eye-catching and colorful, adapting my work to any style required. Books, movies, posters, cartoons, and videogames have always been part of my life, which led me to start my drawing career at a young age.

In the future, I hope my designs connect people with needs with companies/organizations that solve those needs. I want to be professional but at the same time bring my essence into my pieces. On my personal projects I would like to express myself and do fun art of things that I enjoy. Taking small freelancing projects and doing art research and practices in my free time will keep things interesting. That way, I will have flexibility on my artwork and time to concentrate in my interests. It will be great to be able to work doing what I like the most. I think that when you like your job, you don’t get tired of it. But I also want to try different areas or art and design that will help me continue building my skills.

Coming to the US I had a clash of cultures that opened my eyes to the infinite possibilities of learning from other people and getting different perspectives. I have the idea that the more you open your mind, the better the techniques and design possibilities as an artist you get, so I research a lot. To make my imagination flow I like to brainstorm and practice in a variety of art mediums, like ceramics, drawing and photography. This also helps me have a clear mind on what I want to design. Patterns, shapes, and textures inspire me. I always want to learn more and try new things. .
