Exhibit Work
For this exhibition I decided to create a travel agency named ADVENTOURS and all the printing material and merchandise they need as a company to promote themselves and what they offer. While making this project I thought about what I wanted the travelers to feel when using ADVENTOURS’ services. I thought about relaxation, peace, trust, professionalism, freedom, lightness and fun, all good descriptions for a safe trip that creates memories for you and your family or friends.
You might be asking, why a travel agency? After thinking about it for a while, I decided to choose a theme that represented the new stage in our life that we as designers are getting in. The freedom we will have to create our designs, the adventure that is ahead of us in the professional world, the security and trust we must have in ourselves, but always remembering to do our designs with love and joy. The other reason I chose to do a travel agency is the passion I have to learn from other cultures and traveling. I tried to include different countries in my pieces to learn more about them and showcase the beautiful scenery and culture they have.
During the creation of my artwork, I meditated on my favorite artists and what I like about their designs. I concluded that the simplicity, big shapes, and cleanness of their styles are impactful, neat and what I wanted to follow for this project. As designers, we look for inspiration in nature and culture. Different cultures are a big part of the ADVENTOURS project, and I was deeply inspired by my research in these.
I hope that when people see my project they feel motivated, liberated and ready for their next adventure. I want ADVENTOURS to portray how much I have improved as a Graphic Designer throughout the years.
