During my college journey,my fascination for Halloween and spooky stuff went up a level when a friend of mine shared to me a “Monster Madness” playlist. “Monster Madness” is a series of horror films reviews that started as small in-home videos on YouTube years ago, produced by Cinemassacre. This is what fueled my passion for horror stories and films. This in conjunction with my curiosity sparked by my Film Studies minor lead me to find different short films and creepy pastas in the internet. I came across The Backrooms, and since then I wanted to create my take on it after being hunted by it countless times. This project aims to promote what my movie rendition of The Backrooms creepy pasta would be. Titled “Lean in” the film will take you through the seemingly endless halls the story narrates about, hoping not to get consumed under the sickly yellow lights or by what might lie between the halls.
