Sam Taylor
For my senior exhibit I decided to design work for a fictional music artist by the name “Sam Taylor.” I tried achieving the feel and aesthetic of both the psychedelic music era, the rock era,and the punk era. All eras I didn’t live in, and yet music from that past is what I enjoy most, and what I listen to if I need to get out of my head and relax for a while. It’s what my parents listened to when I was a kid, and now I listen to in an effort to rekindle that inner child of mine. I decided to make these projects to see if I could actually achieve the aesthetic I was inspired by and motivated me. My exhibit is for the older generation who grew up with these sorts of artworks being common, and for people like me; Born way past that era, but who still appreciate the art and aesthetic of that time period.
