Mi Casita

For this project, I decided to create a Mexican diner called “Mi Casita’s”. This diner was inspired by my grandma whose always had a dream of opening her own restaurant and serving Mexican food. She’s always had a passion for cooking and everyone whose tries her food falls in love with it. She’s always shown love to others through acts of service and her favorite way of showing affection is through her cooking. This diner is dedicated to her and the love she has for the Mexican culture. The main purpose of this diner is creating a friendly and welcoming spot for those who’d liked to experience a welcoming and festive environment through the influence of the Mexican culture.
The design for this project displays the vibrant colors and décor inspired by the Hispanic culture. I wanted to take a diner look and combine the Mexican culture within its design and display. There isn’t a diner in the RGV that gives off a welcoming and friendly vibe towards the Mexican culture. This diner is meant to be a safe place for those who want to enjoy and experience the Mexican culture and environment.
