Exhibit Work

Creating comics and animations is a challenging, demanding process that requires both skill and resilience. Though it’s far from easy, it’s a deeply rewarding path that has a profound impact on pop culture, storytelling, and audiences worldwide. With this exhibit, I aim to showcase not only my dedication and perseverance but also the passion and excitement I have for crafting compelling visual narratives. This project is a thriller-horror comic, drawing inspiration from iconic sci-fi horror films like Alien (1979), The Thing (1982), and Annihilation (2018). I’ve always admired these films for their masterful atmosphere, eerie sense of mystery, and unrelenting suspense, which immerse viewers in a world that demands their attention and curiosity. My goal is to capture that same intensity—a palpable sense of dread and intrigue—and convey it through my work. While this exhibit won’t showcase a finished masterpiece, it represents my beginnings, my enthusiasm for the genre, and my commitment to evolving as both a storyteller and an artist. The narrative centers around a crew aboard a cargo and research ship that makes an emergency landing at a research outpost established by the Exoplanetary Ecology Institute on a newly discovered world dubbed as "Planet Formicaxis." What the crew finds is a haunting mystery: a once-thriving station, now overtaken by alien flora and fauna, yet eerily devoid of human life. Tasked with refueling their ship, they must act swiftly before they’re ensnared by the planet’s most intelligent—and lethal—inhabitants.

This exhibit is the culmination of countless hours of hard work and effort, driven by my passion for this genre and my long-term vision of contributing to the world of visual storytelling. I hope viewers are drawn into the story and find themselves captivated by the suspense and curiosity that I have been determined to reflect through my storytelling. I aspire to continue honing my skills in both art and storytelling, striving to one day create a full-length film or graphic novel that explores deeper, richer narratives. This project has been a profound learning experience-a chance to practice, experiment, and develop my unique style and voice. I am thrilled to present this project and hope it reflects the dedication and passion I am committed to bringing to future projects. Ultimately, I hope viewers walk away with a sense of intrigue and excitement. This is just the beginning, and I am excited to present this project as my starting point in my creative journey and experience.
