Exhibit Work
For my exhibit, I created an animation company called Monarch Motions. For my project, I decided to create 5 movie DVDs to showcase the kind of stories that Monarch Motions wants to tell. Monarch Motions showcases stories that are inspiring and thought-provoking. Most of these posters will involve fantasy elements including surrealism. The goal is to show incredible illustrations that have deep meaning within them. I chose to do an animation studio for my project because I want to tell a story of my own in the future. I want to tell these stories in a fantasy-like type of setting. I have always been inspired by anime and Japanese animation as a young child. That inspires much of my work and has given me the desire and passion to do something similar. As a kid, the idea of creating my own story has motivated me to keep pursuing art. While making these posters I want to showcase my talents to their fullest potential. I want to use this exhibit to showcase my abilities and show the potential that I have within myself. As I create my movie designs I also want to create DVD designs and additional things to show the audience. My posters will be created in Illustrator and edited by using Photoshop. I also decided to create DVD sets for my movie posters. I want to give people something physical to see and get a closer look at all the details I put in my posters. My goal is to be able to push the limits and create illustrations that inspire others. For this exhibit, I pushed myself to create art that resonates with others. I hope that people take something away from my exhibit and that it inspires them to create their art to show others. I enjoy all these experiences I have had learning new art skills, expanding my knowledge, and advancing in art. I plan to keep pushing the limits and create more projects like this.
