Artist Statement
My art journey began from the inspiration of the artist who surrounded me throughout my childhood. They introduced me to a new outlet of expression and communication through the creation of art.
One of my first major influences in the world of art was my father who carried a journal around and would draw on the corners of said journal. I still reminisce about that time when he made a small figure of a dog made out of play dough. His creativity and enjoyment of art will always help me to feel inspired by my own artwork.
Music plays a major role in my creativity and that also reflects on my work. I believe that music flows my creative thinking and expression, the lyrics of the song would help me to get more inspired, or even when I don't understand the lyrics the instrumentals of the song will also help me to get into that creative mindset. Not only that but thanks to the song I can create something meaningful. Alongside my father, the K-pop group BTS fueled my passion for art. As my adoration for BTS grew, their art ( music ) was the final push for me to get more interested in the world of art. Thanks to them I was able to get into the art club in my high school and learn the basics.
