My exhibit project Inta Stella is a video game that follows the journey of the title's two titular characters, Inta Stella herself and her partner Star Man, together they go out exploring the galaxy in a 2D adventure platformer, filled with fun character interactions between the two in an art style that I call my own. The original concept of wanting to base my exhibit off of a video game stem from both my and love and passion for the media of games as a whole and the art that comes from them, being based off of its biggest inspiration Super Mario Bros. and the many other games like it. With games growing more mainstream as time goes on, more and more people have been able to create visually stunning and fun ways of expressing themselves through this form of artistic media, whether it be via a games world, story, or characters, and I wanted to make something that is essentially both a love letter to those that have inspired me along with simply wanting to develop the characters that I created myself. My style of illustration is something that has been heavily influenced by the art of games, and growing up I'd learn to appreciate that view more as time passes, along with the aspect of what it takes to design such games in the first place, and so with that I aimed to create a game with both illustration and design in mind.

With the setting of the game's world set entirely in space, I personally have always loved the depiction of it in many different forms of media, whether it being depicted as colorful and full of mystery/wonder or dark and nothing more than just vast emptiness, in Inta Stella I chose to go more of the former. With the idea of space in mind I felt as though it would be the best scenario for the characters as in space I feel as though you can do essentially anything with it, as there are many possibilities as what could be out there. The design of the characters themselves is very influenced by other platforming icons, with bright colors and fun expressions with the mindset that nothing out there is too much of a challenge as long as they have one another, a mindset that I hold very close to myself. With all of that said, Inta Stella is something that I am very proud of, and by being based off of a form of creation that I've spent hours of my life with, I can confidently say that it is something I am very happy to be sharing with the rest of the world.
