Have you ever thought about having ice cream for breakfast? Spoonfull gives you the best of both worlds. My project Spoonfull is a breakfast ice cream cereal that brings creativity during the most important meal of the day. With a variety of exciting flavors that all kids love and can find in pints of ice cream anywhere. It is a whole grain cereal that is filled with fiber and nutrients that all kids benefit for a early start in the day. Spoonfull embraces the use of creativity at the start of the day, while providing a prize that is a creativity book. The creativity book is filled with unique games and activities that all kids would love and enjoy to their early mornings. Our brand is to provide a tasty hearty breakfast without the excessive amounts of sugar than most cereals out there. Making sure you are filled with a tasty and nutritious bowl of cereal at the beginning of your day.

My idea for Spoonfull started when I wanted to create a fun vibrant snack brand for kids. I wanted the use of creativity to be a primary importance in the brand that I wanted to create. Since as a graphic designer personally I always find that most of my creativity stems from other packaging designs that are very different from others which is why I implemented a focus on creativity. Today we have all these consistent cereal brands that we all loved as kids and have remained the same theme with their classic traditional mascots. Often not they are not ideally the healthiest for kids to have for the start of the day, which influenced me to create a healthier option. As we are now high in a modern minimalistic design time, I wanted to create a cereal that fit right in there. Walking through several aisles and different stores to make sure what resonated to me visually. Making sure that it was different enough but still attractive to younger audience. I always personally loved having vibrant colors cohesive colors, basic flat shapes, but most importantly for this project I wanted to add characters that had distinctive traits to the brand. I wanted to challenge myself as my last final senior project in creating visual elements that I am not used to working with really helped with my design and character design process.
