UPDATE: Return to Campus Guidance

Thursday, July 16, 2020 :: University Marketing and Communication

Dear UTRGV Family:

This is a reminder that supervisors who are informed by their employees about COVID-19 symptoms, positive test or exposure should direct the employee to utilize the preliminary COVID-19 screening form. The information will be reviewed, and a member of the COVID-19 Response Team will reach out to the employee.

The COVID-19 Response Team is responsible for identifying and contacting others who may have been at risk. Employees may not return to work until they are released by a member of the COVID-19 Response Team.

In addition, please remember that the Office of Human Resources, in collaboration with the UTRGV Return to Campus Taskforce, has developed supporting resources for employees and supervisors that lay out processes to raise awareness of new health and well-being protocols, responsibilities, and helpful practices.

All employees are asked to:

  • Review Return to Campus Employee Guide
  • Or view recorded Return to Campus Training for Employees
  • Acknowledge review of the content

In addition to reviewing the Employee Guide, all supervisors are asked to:

  • Review the Return to Campus Guide for Supervisors
  • Or attend a supervisor training live training via zoom
  • Acknowledge review of the content

All resources mentioned above are available via Blackboard. Please refer to the attached document for access guidance. Zoom live sessions will be available via the Training Portal.

As always, thank you for your patience during this extremely fluid situation. Our primary concern continues to be the health, safety and security of our UTRGV community.
