Holiday Wellness Message

Dear UTRGV Faculty and Staff:
As we embark upon the Holiday Season, we pause to say thank you for your continued hard work and dedication.
We also want to acknowledge that the holidays can be a stressful time, even without a pandemic. The following are helpful tips and resources currently available to assist your physical and mental well-being:
- Self-Care during Holiday Season (see attached flyer)
- Healthy Tuesday Series resuming in December (Messenger Announcement coming soon with registration details)
- 9 a.m., Dec. 8 “Healthy Habits During the Winter Season” presented by Kay Kennan, UREC
- 3:30 p.m. Dec. 15: “Stress Management During the Holiday Season” presented by Carla Lopez, HR Wellness
- Feeling thankful and want to show gratitude? Send a Bravo to a colleague during the holiday season. Make sure to also thank our incredible Frontline Heroes.
- Emotional Recovery Guide provided by EAP
- Request a Wellness Session for your team. Choose from topics such as Preventing Burnout; Positive Attitude & Gratitude; Develop a Personal Health Plan; Developing and Maintaining Resilience; Work/Life Balance; or Managing Stress.
- Check out Messenger for highlighted wellness resources such as the “ End of Day Checklist ” and other upcoming wellness sessions.
- Continue to reach out to a healthcare provider when you need help. Virtual and in-person Behavioral Health and Counseling Services are available to you:
