REMINDER: You Can Request COVID-19 Work Supplies Through iShop
Dear UTRGV Employee,
As we closely monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we want to remind you of our commitment to promote the safety and success of all students, faculty, and staff.
UTRGV continues to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness across its facilities and invest in supplies that are proven to help combat the virus and its spread. For this reason, UTRGV is making supplies available for your departmental use upon returning to your traditional work environment, whenever that may be.
These supplies will be provided to departments that have or will have employees working on campus in the immediate future. We kindly ask that you submit the request with a 2-weeks lead time. If your employees are not back on campus, we ask that you hold off in requesting supplies until 2 weeks prior to your employees’ return.
Equipping your team with these essential supplies is easy; requesting the supplies can be conveniently done through iShop. Completing the “Return to Work Supplies” form takes just a few minutes!
Please contact your departmental administrative support staff/requester to request the following items via iShop using the “Return to Work Supplies” form.
- One (1) 32oz bottle of hand sanitizer per 10 UTRGV employees
- One (1) 32oz bottle of disinfectant spray per 10 UTRGV employees
- One (1) commercial use roll of paper towels per 10 UTRGV employees
- One (1) box of disposable gloves (box of 100) per order
- Two (2) washable/reusable face coverings per UTRGV employee
Departments should plan to submit a separate requisition per campus (Brownsville, Edinburg, or Harlingen).
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- DO NOT purchase any of these items from outside sources, including punch-out vendors.
- Given that supplies are limited, all requests MUST follow the stated ratios.
- If you have less than 10 employees working at the moment, you are still eligible to request the supplies allocated in the scenario of having 10 employees.
- All employees (including student employees) within your office should be considered, as you determine the quantities you are requesting.
- Departments who have employees on a rotation schedule should consider the amount of in-person employee occurrences, so consider this factor as you determine the quantities you are requesting.
- The supplies can be re-ordered, except face coverings (only 2 face coverings per semester will be issued to employees.)
- Customer Service Counters with direct customer interaction may request all of the above, per location/counter.
- Once your request is approved in iShop, items may be picked up from Central Receiving within your requested dates. The online form also allows you to choose from which location you would like to pick up the supplies. Central Receiving locations are based in:

(956) 665-3076 - Note, Harlingen departments have the option to get their supplies delivered on their schedule dates (Monday, Tuesdays, Fridays) or can do curbside and pick up their supplies at either the Brownsville or Edinburg Central Receiving sites. Users can comment their specific needs on the requisition.
