Message from the President: Fall 2020 Course Offerings and Safety Procedures

Thursday, July 9, 2020 :: Office of the President

Dear UTRGV Family,

As we plan for the Fall semester, our top priority is to keep you safe from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Our top priority in every decision we make is and will always be the health and safety of our students and campus community. After that, we also want to ensure this pandemic doesn’t negatively impact your progress toward earning your degree.

The different options and modalities for our courses this Fall semester are explained in the video below from Dr. Janna Arney, our Deputy President and Interim Provost. This has been developed by our deans and faculty in consultation with our health, medicine, and safety experts, following the guidelines established by our Return to Campus Task Force. Full details are available on our Fall 2020 Course Offerings and Safety Procedures website.

We recognize that the situation with COVID-19 is highly fluid, and we will continue to monitor the pandemic and make any necessary adjustments as we move forward together to safeguard your health and enable your academic success.

We also look forward to being able to share some exciting announcements about improvements to direct student support next week.

Please visit our Fall 2020 Course Offerings and Safety Procedures website for details and ongoing updates.

Thank you,

Guy Bailey
President
