COVID-19 Update: Campus Operations
To maintain the health and safety of our on-campus community, we are asking that, prior to visiting campus/off-campus facilities each day, you review the six questions below. If you answer yes to any of them, do not come to work. Please call the UTRGV Employee Health Clinic (956) 296-1731, or your healthcare provider, and notify your supervisor. Your supervisor will work with you on leave management.
- Have you been exposed to someone in your household or been within close contact (within 6 feet) of an individual with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 14 days?
- Today or within the last 24 hours, have you had a measured temperature greater than 100.4°F?
- Today or within the last 24 hours, have you had a new or worsening cough?
- Today or within the last 24 hours, have you had new or worsening body aches?
- Today or within the last 24 hours, have you had a sore throat?
- Today or within the last 24 hours, have you had shortness of breath or difficulties breathing?
In addition, if you have any of the following symptoms:
- Gasping for air or cannot talk without catching your breath (extremely difficult breathing)
- Blue-colored lips or face
- Severe and constant pain or pressure in the chest
- Severe and constant dizziness or lightheadedness
- Unconscious or very difficult to wake up
- Slurred speech (new or worsening)
- New seizures or seizures that won’t stop
- Acting confused (new or worsening)
PLEASE STOP AND CALL 911.
Please remember that essential employees who must report to campus/off-campus facilities must carry a UTRGV ID as well as the letter provided by Human Resources that states your essential status.
