iVenture is a 7-week ideation program, where selected participants develop their business idea and identify whether or not the potential venture is viable.

If you have an idea for a product or service that solves a problem or satisfies a need, then apply to participate in the UTRGV Center for Innovation & Commercialization's iVenture cohort of startup founders.
We are seeking aspiring entrepreneurs to apply for the Spring 2023 iVenture cohort. Up to ten aspiring founders will be selected to participate in this seven-week program where they will have the opportunity to develop their business ideas, connect with other founders, and exchange feedback.
Who should apply?
- RGV community members (including but not limited to UTRGV students, staff, faculty, and alumni)
- Aspiring entrepreneurs who want a hands-on experience and have an idea to start a business in the Rio Grande Valley
What will you learn? Following the Wendy Kennedy "So what? Who cares? Why you?" methodology, participants will find the business value of their innovation.
- To develop your idea
- To understand the problem you are trying to solve for customers
- To find out where your idea fits
- To learn how to discover your potential customer base
- To determine your path to market
- To discover your competitive edge
- To determine whether or not you can execute
- To learn and practice how to best pitch your business idea
Program fee: $25 for students; $199 otherwise. Payment plans available!
