UTRGV Child Development Center. Summer Registration is open! Free childcare for Pell eligible students. Now enrolling ages 3 months to 4 years old. *The CDC follows the UTRGV Holiday Calendar (Office of Human Resources) for closing. Additional closings for staff development and workdays are noted on the CDC school calendar.

Welcome

Welcome to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Child Development Center where we provide child care services to our UTRGV students, faculty, and staff. Our developmental early childhood program is available to children from 3 months to 5 years old. We offer a variety of diverse and creative learning opportunities in a caring and nurturing environment. We focus on the whole child, considering all the child’s developmental needs – physical, social, emotional, and cognitive for a lifetime of educational success.

  • Offer full-time care Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Provide children with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
  • Offer Frog Street Curriculum which focuses on the developmental needs of the children and new concepts and skills in early literacy, math, and science.
  • Help for Pell-eligible, low-income student-parents pay for child-care services provided by the U.S. Department of Education Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Grant.
