To check the status of your graduate application, follow these simple steps:
Log into your application portal:
Visit www.utrgv.edu/gradapply and sign in using the email and password you used to initially create your application.
Select your application:
Choose the application you wish to check (if you have applied to more than one graduate program). This will take you to your application portal, where you can view various statuses.

Incomplete
You have not yet formally submitted your application. Make sure all required fields are filled out and submit it to move forward.
Submitted - Pending Review
Your application has been submitted and is now waiting to be reviewed by one of our admissions generalist. Please note, missing items will be updated in your portal once reviewed. Initial reviews take 24-48 hours.
Materials Incomplete
Your application has been reviewed, but some admission documents or requirements are still missing. Check your application checklist for any items marked with a red "x," and submit them promptly. At this point, you can upload missing documents at www.utrgv.edu/graddocuments and log in with your UTRGV credentials.
Under Review by Program
Your application is complete and has moved to the program level. For accelerated online programs, this review typically takes around 7 days. For on-campus or traditional online programs, review times may vary.
Under Review by Generalist
The Graduate Program Coordinator has made a recommendation on your application, and it is now being reviewed by the Graduate Admissions Generalist. This process takes 24-48 hours.
Decision Made
A decision has been reached on your application and you can see this decision directly in your application portal. You will also receive an email with your decision.
Waitlist
You have been waitlisted. You will only be notified if a spot becomes available for enrollment.
Decision Recommended - Pending to Complete
The program has recommended you for admission, but you are still missing some required items. Make sure to submit these as soon as possible.
Withdrawn
You have chosen to withdraw your application from consideration or the application was submitted in error.
