Services
The Office of Institutional Accreditation, Program Development, and Analysis (OIA) is the institutional team responsible for all of UTRGV's accreditation efforts. OIA has the primary responsibility of ensuring continued compliance with SACSCOC and specialized accreditations, including:
Functions/Services:
- Preparation of notifications, substantive changes, and annual reports for SACSCOC
- Preparation and submission of decennial self-studies, fifth-year interim reports, and other special reports for SACSCOC
- Collaboration with relevant units regarding the development of SACSCOC narratives and documentation
- Coordination of on-site visits for SACSCOC
- Development and management of a database of SACSCOC correspondence, documentation, and reports
- Provide training regarding specific aspects of SACSCOC compliance, requirements, and expectations
- Review of specialized accreditation reports prior to submission
- Participation in on-site reviews for specialized accreditation
- Provision of training and consulting services related to accreditation
- Verification of teaching validation
- Provide training regarding credentialing policy and procedure
- Development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to accreditation and accreditation compliance activities
- Facilitate and organize the new program development processes
- Preparation of prospectus for new program development using the new program proposal information
- Preparation of prospectus for new teaching sites
- Review and collect self-study information for academic programs
- Collaboration with the Office of Curriculum and Institutional Assessment related to assessment, accreditation, and program review activities
- Provide training regarding the educational affiliation agreement process
- Assist in the preparation and finalizing of standard and non-standard educational affiliation agreements
- Management of the educational affiliation agreement database
