Re-Apply to a Graduate Program

Students wishing to be re-admitted into the UTRGV Graduate College can click here to start your readmission application.  Students may only use this application to return to a graduate program to which they have previously been admitted and enrolled in.  You should use this application after a 1 to 5 year leave of absence.  

Please note the following:

*Students must formally apply to the graduate program and submit all admissions requirements if they:

  • were on academic suspension during their last term or
  • have been out of the graduate program for more than 5 years

* Please note that coursework for graduate degrees must be completed within the following time periods:

  • Master's Students: 7 years
  • Doctoral Students: 10 years

Your application for continuation in the graduate program will be forwarded to the corresponding program director for approval. Under certain circumstances, the program director may decide that the student needs to submit a new application for admission.
