Dr. Haoteng Tang
Bio
I got my B.Eng. in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in 2016 and M.Sc. in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2018 with an Academic Excellence Award in graduation. Then I got my Ph.D. in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh (UPITT) in 2023. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
My research focus on three aspects including 1) interpretable and robust deep learning model designs, 2) brain connectomics and bioinformatics, and 3) deep learning on medical image analysis. I have authored/co-authored multiple papers in several Top-tier journals/conferences, such as Journal of Medical Image Analysis (MedIA), IEEE Transactions on Neural Network and Learning Systems (TNNLS), Medical Image Computing and Computer Assistant Interventions (MICCAI), Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (SIGKDD), and IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI), in each of these fields. Meanwhile, I am the review editor member of the journal of Frontiers in Radiology, and I served as reviewers for multiple peer-reviewed journals/conferences in fields of medical image and artificial intelligence, such as TNNLS, SIGKDD, MICCAI, AAAI, OHBM, and CIKM.
