Transition to ISO 9001:2015


Description

The ISO 9001:2015 Transition comprehensive 1-day workshop will introduce the new ISO high-level structure for management system standards (Annex SL) and review the changes between ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015. Information will be provided that will enable participants to identify the key gaps in their current Quality Management System (QMS) and start planning the transition to the new requirements.

Key Session Topics

  • Review of the new Requirements of Annex SL (Appendix 2) and how it affects the quality management system structure.
  • Workplace organization.
  • Review of the risk-based approach and its significance.
  • Explain the key changes between ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 and interpretation of these requirements.
  • Review of documentation requirements and its impact on current documentation structure, including the numbering scheme.
  • Review of the transition timeline and identifying the appropriate time for upgrade certification.

Jose R. Luján has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Syracuse University and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He is a registered (IRCA & RAB) Lead Auditor. He is an approved Lead Auditor for several internationally Accredited Registrars. During his 15 years of experience he has held administrative positions in Shop Operations, Materials, Quality, Accounting and Finance in various industries and countries. He has taught facilitated ISO / TS 16949 courses in the United States and Latin America. Jose is a senior member of the American Society for Quality and the American Institute of Industrial Engineers.
