About Us
The Computer Network/Cyber Security Research Lab was established with funding support from National Science Foundation. The goal of the Computer Network/Cyber Security Research Lab is to conduct theoretical and applied research and training activities that result in significant practical impact, involving all types of wired and wireless data networks & Internet. Emphasis is placed in the areas of Cybersecurity for Information & Cloud infrastructure, Energy infrastructure, Biomedical data security, combined with AI/ML applications.
Computer Network Research Lab (NRL) has played a major role in design & evaluation of new Internet switch architecture and protocols for high speed data networks resulting in many journal & conference papers and patents. The Cyber Security Research lab (CSRL) is housed in the same lab as the NRL and it has played a significant role in discovery and evaluation of various security vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure, security aware network systems, and performance evaluations of Cybersecurity systems. Projects in the lab are supported in part by funding from NSF, DHS, NIH and others. Cyber Security Research Lab (CSRL) is uniquely positioned to provide undergraduate and graduate research students practical experience and training which is highly sought after in today's high-tech industries.
