Thank you for participating in UTRGV’s Annual Enrollment for Benefits

The opportunity to make benefit changes during Annual Enrollment will begin July 15, 2019 and end on July 31, 2019.
Any benefit changes made will be effective September 1, 2019.

UTRGV is excited to announce its FY 2019-2020 Annual Benefits Enrollment and the new additions to the plan effective September 1, 2019.  With UT Select Medical, we are introducing Health Advocacy Solutions (HAS), virtual doctor visits with MD Live with $0 copay, and services to assist with the management of chronic musculoskeletal pain and chronic health conditions under Hinge Health, Omada, and Livongo also with $0 copay.  With UT Select Prescription, we are happy to announce the introduction of Smart90 retail prescriptions at Walgreens.

Also, effective September 1, the cost of UT SELECT and UT CONNECT Medical and UT SELECT Dental Plus coverage will increase slightly.  The cost for employee only medical coverage will not change, for full-time benefits employees.  No Plan design or rate changes for UT SELECT Dental, DeltaCare Dental HMO, Vision Basic & Plus, Short and Long Term Disability, Voluntary Group Term Life and AD&D, and Spouse Group Term Life*.

Keep These Important Dates in Mind

  • August 15, 2019 - Deadline for submitting Evidence of Insurability (EOI) forms for Disability insurance and Voluntary Group Term Life insurance
  • August 15, 2019 - Deadline for submitting Evidence of Eligibility (EOE) documents required when you enroll your spouse or dependent(s) for the first time.
  • August 31, 2019 - Last date to incur eligible Dependent Care (DCRA) expenses
  • September 1, 2019 - Effective date for coverage elected and approved during Annual Enrollment
  • November 15, 2019 – Last date to incur eligible expenses for the Healthcare Reimbursement Account (HCRA) to use up funds in your 2018-2019 account
  • November 30, 2019 – Last date to file claims for both the HCRA and DCRA to request reimbursement for expenses incurred between September 1, 2018 – August 31, 2019.

*Higher individual rates may apply if your age on September 1 corresponds to a higher age bracket
