The Counseling Center provides free and confidential counseling services for UTRGV students to address mental health concerns, and seeks to promote personal growth and well-being among our campus community through education and outreach activities. The center opens from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Collegiate Recovery Program are non-clinical services to help students work through the process of recovery from addictive behaviors such as substance abuse. It is an opportunity to find support by connecting with fellow students who are also going through recovery. It is also a way to connect with professional help if needed. To assist student veterans, guardsmen, reservist, and their dependents in the pursuit of educational goals. The Military and Veterans Success Center (MVSC) serves as a liaison between students receiving military educational benefits and the Department of Veteran Affairs. Hours are M-F 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

The Office for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention (OVAVP) works with students, staff, and faculty, and community partners to strive for a campus free from gender-based and interpersonal violence and to facilitate services for victims and survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual harassment, and interpersonal violence.
