SHIP-GEO Goals
The goals of "GP-EXTRA: Stimulating Hispanic Participation in the Geosciences (SHIP-GEO)" at UTRGV are to contribute to reducing the US geoscience workforce shortage predicted for the coming decade and to increase Hispanic participation. SHIP-GEO aims to double, within five years, the annual number of graduates from the Environmental and Earth Sciences program under School of Earth, Environmental, and Marine Sciences.
