Pushpa Soti, Ph.D (Mentor)
Pushpa Soti, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the School of Integrative Biological and Chemical Sciences. She focuses on understanding the factors driving VAV plant invasions and applying ecological principles for invasive plant management.

Sofia Ayala (Mentee)
Sofia is studying whether native or invasive plants affect how mosquitoes behave when flying and laying eggs. She's also investigating if the type of plant influence where mosquitoes choose to lay their eggs in natural settings.
