Artist Statement

personal logoFor me, my work has been a way to express myself ever since I was a little kid. My family wanted me to pursue a more serious career but later began to accept and support my long-lasting love and fascination for the arts. I wanted to start with becoming an illustrator, go big in the industry and be known for my work, that was always my dream. I wanted people to feel inspired by the work I created to pursue their own dreams and adventures just how I did when I was younger. If I had people looking up to me, I know I had made it.

Growing up in a time when cartoons where very prominent really inspired my little brain and I wouldn’t have been here if it weren’t for it. I want to be an example that dreams do come true as cheesy as they sound, but it’s true. I take pride in my work and no matter what people say, I never give up.

There are times when I am having those artist blocks and I find myself at a dead end, but thanks to the people around me, I can get up and try again because those are the same people that have supported me in my journey, and I am forever grateful for having believed in me when no one else had. I know they are proud, and I am thankful to them for really believing and supporting me because they also looked at me growing up and improving my talents.

I like experimenting and learning new techniques and going to college really was a challenge because I managed to do just that, and I unlocked more skills and poured my passion into my work. It was difficult at first getting used to the technologies, but it paid off in the end and now I’m at the end of the road having grown into the artist I am today. I’m really thankful to everyone who made this journey possible and the people who have inspired me to work hard and be creative. I know my younger self would have been proud to know that our dream is about to come true.
