Artist Statement

personal logoMost of what began my passion for art began with flowers. How unique and colorful in their shapes and patterns of petals wrapped around their pistil. What made me drawn to them was how colorful and serene they looked, as it looked to be something out of a fantasy novel. My education began in Biology, delving into the intricacies of plant life anatomy, providing me with a profound understanding of their inner workings. This biological exploration laid the foundation for my fascination with the intersection of form and function. Upon beginning on a second degree in Graphic Design, I found a medium to express my admiration for feminine beauty in both form and function. Among various artistic movements, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Modern, Abstract, and Rococo resonated with me deeply. These genres became inspiration guiding my exploration into color and design, igniting a quest to reach the heights set by pioneering artists in their movements. Despite my unconventional taste in art during this time, I discover solace in the embrace of Gardens, Churches, Hiking Trails, Museums, and City Parks with their spaces resonating with natural beauty. Every project I undertook became an opportunity to infuse my unique style, contemplating how to enhance my art through the interplay of color, pattern, symmetry, and form. This commitment to incorporating my artistic vision into all facets of my academic journey not only defined my personal aesthetic but also propelled me to continuously refine my skills, aspiring to evoke the essence of natural beauty in every creation.
