Dolce Vino is a modern-day wine brand that aims to take you back to the golden age of art. Inspired by the cultural and aesthetic richness of the Renaissance, Dolce Vino transports you to a time of unparalleled creativity and sophistication. Just as the Renaissance was a period of rebirth and enlightenment, Dolce Vino embodies a modern revival of vintage wine, inviting you to indulge in the flavors that were meticulously crafted with care and passion. Our brand identity ties together the highlights of the Renaissance era with a modern-day elegance that is visible throughout our design. Each bottle of Dolce Vino depicts a Renaissance masterpiece, reflecting the elegance and refinement of an era that celebrated beauty in all its forms. From the intricate label designs to the rich flavors that evoke the essence of the Italian countryside, every aspect of Dolce Vino pays homage to an era that will be remembered forever.
I chose the Renaissance as my motif for my exhibition project because it is my favorite period of art history. Traditional art is my first love and is what got me into design in the first place, and it felt fitting to pay homage to that in my final project. I also believe that wine make us feel elegant and sophisticated, and what better to embody that idea than old Italy and the Renaissance era? It also represents a period of time that was marked by innovation, exploration, and a thirst for knowledge. One of my goals was to try to invoke the same feelings, mainly a sense of curiosity and wonder in the consumer that would invite them to not only buy the wine but to consider each bottle as more than just a container. The bottles themselves can be viewed as their own works of art. I decided to put a different painting on each bottle because I felt like each type of wine is very specific and has its own energy, much like the paintings. I gave each bottle its own name, red wine as Sangue Luna which means blood moon, white wine as Luce Serena which means serene light, and rosé as Sogni Rosa which means pink dreams. I chose each painting by finding ones I felt best represented the names of the wines. I also created a commercial for Dolce Vino to showcase more of what the brand represents. Ultimately, Dolce Vino became a fusion of all of my passions and I hope that you are able to enjoy the final product as much as I did creating it!
