Aletheia: the personified spirit of truth and sincerity. This name was chosen because it is known that cards tell the truth without a sense of hesitation. Aletheia is a Major Arcana card deck made for those who look for insight and advice in their everyday life. At first glance, the Major Arcana may appear as a mere collection of artistic cards, but delve deeper, and you will discover a symbolic journey that mirrors the complexities of life itself. These cards are not just an assortment of images; they are a roadmap that navigates us through the various stages of our existence. The Major Arcana acts as a mirror, reflecting our triumphs, challenges, and the lessons we encounter on our journey. It serves as a guide that helps us understand the cycles of life, the importance of balance, and the inevitability of change. When we draw these cards, we are confronted with archetypal energies that resonate with our subconscious, providing us with insights that go beyond surface-level understanding. In times of uncertainty, the Major Arcana serves as a beacon of light, offering guidance and clarity. It encourages us to embrace our inner strength, confront our fears, and pursue our passions. Yet, the tarot teaches us that the answers we seek are not always found in books or classrooms but within ourselves. By tapping into our intuition, we can unlock the secrets of the universe and chart a course toward enlightenment. This card deck was designed specifically to feature friends and family, people who we know and trust, rather than random strangers whom we have no recollection or trust. These cards incorporate a sense of fantasy that transports an individual to another reality that will be able to heal their inner child with the subtle glows and surrealism in the car The images and symbols on the cards serve as a mirror, reflecting the inner thoughts, emotions, and experiences of the individual seeking guidance. This project was created with the help of 21 models each representing a major arcana card, every model was emphasized with a sense of whimsy and imagination with the Adobe tool; photoshop. The Aletheia deck was brought to life with a mix of reality and as mentioned before, fantasy. Tarot cards are something I grew up with and wish to share with others. Having friends and family featured will give a sense of comfort to the individual using them. Tarot does not mean evil but guidance with this deck is an individual using them, the stigma against tarot was created by horror movies, Aletheia is a serene deck that is meant to be used as a tool for those who are looking for comfort, growth and self-discovery in times of need. Trusting your intuition and your loved ones is the only way to go.
