Artist Statement
I was introduced to art when I was in elementary school, and it wasn’t until middle school where I found myself illustrating and creating different ideas every day. I am a relatively shy person due to the trauma and experience I have dealt with in the past. I found it as a means of escapism but now I have made it into a way I can express myself. For times I had trouble speaking out my thoughts I would illustrate and create and put out my emotions and thoughts out there. I started to learn and craft my artistic skills and soon found myself doing art more than anything else and I found it very fun being able to create and design. My passion for drawing and creating evolved into an interest in graphic design when I was in high school and I had the idea of pursuing a career I would enjoy doing. The thing that is most important to me about my work is being able to communicate with the audience and be able to convey feelings or bring about an understanding. I hope as I keep improving, I can bring about change and help society in positive ways. How I usually solve problems I like to be able to take my time thinking and brainstorming at first and start to do rough drafts of projects I want to work on.
I love finding inspiration from other artists and try to implement my own twists in my work. I have grown to become a passionate designer and I want to be able to continue pursuing design as my career and be able to create many things whether it is for myself or for others or for a company. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for my interest in visual arts and I thank my professors and the artists that I look up to because they have helped me become a more knowledgeable designer and person. I also would want to bring awareness to issues and teach through design and make a positive change in society in someway with my designs. What I value most about my work is the amount of effort and time I love to put into my projects and making them stand out by making them well designed and executed. I also value my planning when it comes to creating and starting my designs and I make sure some of my designs bring about awareness to things not many know. To be able to leave an impact in some way towards my clients and making them feel happy with the work and putting in the effort is my priority.
