The concept of having a place to escape reality is what many people tend to seek. Some people try to dance into that escape, try to find it at the bottom on a drink, or get lost in a new adventure. Finding that place where reality cannot enter. I decided to create a fictional underground speakeasy bar and lounge where people can go to have fun and escape reality. There are these hidden and fun entrances that can lead you to the vibrant night that awaits ahead. Seeing that this adventurous escape is often found at larger cities such as New York and Houston, I thought why not imagine one being in the valley? There has to be something more than just hanging out Downtown or bar hopping Uptown.
For my exhibit I decided to create an underground speakeasy bar and lounge that people can go to have fun and get lost in the vibrant night. The inspiration came from opening what appears to be a normal door at a convenience store, and it leads to another place. Sort of like a misleading door that takes you to a different turn, and into this gateway to a whole other night out.
