Art has been in my life ever since I was a child. At that time, I used to eagerly fill out page after page of comics, pouring my ideas straight onto the paper, letting my imagination have free reign over the stories. Another memorable thing I created were these single page drawings where there was a scene unfolding with the characters, and I’d conceal objects to be found, like a hidden object game. From there, my love for art only expanded thanks to the things I was exposed to. Reading books, watching anime and cartoons only furthered my inspiration; by experiencing other people’s projects, I was motivated to work on mine, and allowed me to think about aspects I hadn’t thought of. The various artworks I saw on social media captivated me, giving me a few goals for me to strive towards, one of them being to continue polishing my art style into something I’ll be pleased with.
While my art will continue to transform as time goes on, the method which it’s executed has up till now been rather methodical. When working on a new project, I first visualize how I want the end product to look like. From that point, I begin sketching the art physically, in order to have a base once I begin working digitally. Here, where the final product can be seen more clearly, I make more adjustments as I see fit, until I’m satisfied. I want my work to convey the same feelings as the art I’ve seen; to enhance the subject matter being illustrated, get the viewer engaged, and possibly inspire them as well.
