I still remember my first serious attempt at drawing, it was from a book of a TV show I used to watch. Of course it came out looking completely off, but this made me venture further into drawing and eventually painting. This was my introduction to the fine arts and it was a great passion of mine for most of my school life. I had plans to become an artist and make my living out of my paintings and drawings, but after serious thinking and guidance from those close to me, i realized that I should instead pursue my future in something else. This lead to me being introduced into the world of Graphic Design.
Whenever I’m in the process of making my piece for a project, I always try to keep in mind how I want it to turn heads. I want people to be drawn to it, if I can do that, then I feel that I did a good job. I do this by trying out new things, ideas, styles and/or trends. I also try to incorporate the skills I learned from painting and drawing and try to make beautiful pieces of work.Whenever I make these works, I always ask those around me what they feel about it or their thoughts on it. If I didn’t hit the mark, then it’s back to the drawing board to make revisions. If they understand what my work is, then I hit the mark. Regardless of the what the outcome maybe however, I still find myself making revisions and adjusting the work in one way or another.
Even though I’m a senior and have made numerous works for many different classes, I still find myself discovering and learning new ideas, methods and styles. It just goes to show how much I have to learn and experience. I love what I do and I hope that love and passion can be seen.
