Carnigala

When I think of the days of the carnival, I think of the individuals who seek to preform, entertain, to motivate and move people. When looking upon this project you may notice a certain horror aesthetic mixed with an old carnival fair feel with weathered colors and texture. The Carnigala is an embodiment of the freedom of expression, something we all could admire and see the creative minds of all who believe in that freedom of expression. It is the balance between what we admired as the old with a touch of modernism. The goal was to appreciate both aspects to what a carnival should be. The target audience around such an event would be a place for all the people who feel the same way from kids to adults. In other words, it is a place where everyone can feel welcomed without having to question if it is normal because it is not, and there is no normal as we are each unique in our own way. In our field of work, we have the tools to mimic such a place. When we think of graphic design, we have the mindset where we seek to being innovative, creative, and amaze society within our abilities. I loved the reflection of expression a carnival had growing up as a child. As designers, it is our goal to show the people what we are capable of and how we are unique in our own way just like these performers we see in these kinds of events. To me this was ideal to do because it is what represents me as a designer and the strive to show others what we are as part of society, with showmanship in the most sophisticated way.
