I vividly remember what motivated me to start drawing at the age of 5, and that was a Pokemon handbook that I had purchased at my elementary school book fair, as well as some Pokemon that my older brother had attempted to draw using this guide book that he hid from me.I love to create characters, creatures and concepts for stories, and it was not uncommon for me to doodle in my notes and notebooks of my other classes. I also love sharing my stories and drawings to my friends, who also share their stories and characters as we come together and help expand and deepen the stories and characters we have created.
When it comes to my work, it is pretty clear where I get most of my inspiration from, and I am not afraid to show it. As for my art style, I have a big soft spot for western animation in both TV shows and movies, as well as video games, which often are the source of my inspiration for almost anything I create.
My biggest goal is to one day create a TV show or a comic that people of all ages can enjoy and that also inspires them to create, just like the shows of my childhood and the games I’ve played did for me.
As artists, we should encourage people to draw, create, and share to the world what we’ve created, because you’ll never know who could be inspired by your work and go on to do something even greater, and continue the cycle of inspiration for generations to come.
